Highly recommend this story and I definitely recommend reading Wolf Protector too!!! And then once the reason was revealed I was like can kind of understand but not really cause James is hot but hey she was young and foolish.and she did eventually make her way back to him.but still.maybe some couples counseling is in order. The plot was intriguing and it was interesting trying to figure out why Cynthia left James high and dry all those years ago. I had a love/hate relationship with Cynthia Vega. I really don't want to spoil the story but wow Milly can write some awesome bedroom scenes!!! An interesting plot ensues with some mystery, intrigue, and some hot hot hot bedroom scenes. James runs into his love Cynthia Vega during a case and turns out she is now his new boss. He focuses on his job and his teammates since the love of his life left him ten years ago. In Dangerous Protector, James Brock is the head of the Federal Paranormal Unit. Each book can be read as a stand alone book. Dangerous Protector is Milly Taiden's second book in her Federal Paranormal Unit series.

The beginning starts with Prince Philip “killing” the dragon Maleficent turns into, and then realizing that she didn’t actually die. Either way, this one follows up with the series name of “A Twisted Tale,” in which the author literally takes things from the original tale and makes it much more morbid than what we are used to. The writing perhaps was a large aspect of it, and the characters in general. While I enjoyed this one much more than its predecessor, A Whole New World (you can find my review here), something just didn’t mesh well with me. Will the sleeping beauty be able to wake herself up? But with Maleficent’s agents following her every move, Aurora struggles to discover who her true allies are, and moreover, who she truly is. Soon she stumbles upon Phillip, a charming prince eager to join her quest. With a desperate fairy’s last curse infiltrating her mind, Princess Aurora will have to navigate a dangerous and magical landscape deep in the depths of her dreams. But when said prince falls asleep as soon as his lips meet the princess’s, it is clear that this fairy tale is far from over. It should be simple–a dragon defeated, a slumbering maiden, a prince poised to wake her. What if the sleeping beauty never woke up? Once Upon a Dream marks the second book in a new YA line that reimagines classic Disney stories in surprising new ways. Products might be designed so that, after their useful life, they provide nourishment for something new-either as biological nutrients that safely re-enter the environment or as technical nutrients that circulate within closed-loop industrial cycles, without being downcycled into low-grade uses (as most recyclables now are). Why not challenge the notion that human industry must inevitably damage the natural world? In fact, why not take nature itself as our model? A tree produces thousands of blossoms in order to create another tree, yet we do not consider its abundance wasteful but safe, beautiful, and highly effective hence, waste equals food is the first principle the book sets forth. But as this provocative, visionary book argues, this approach perpetuates a one-way, cradle to grave manufacturing model that dates to the Industrial Revolution and casts off as much as 90 percent of the materials it uses as waste, much of it toxic. Book Synopsis A manifesto for a radically different philosophy and practice of manufacture and environmentalism Reduce, reuse, recycle urge environmentalists in other words, do more with less in order to minimize damage. Annika is a dutiful young woman who agrees to marry her overbearing cousin in the name of strengthing the throne and placating her father the king, who has become cold and distant in the wake of her mother’s disappearance. The story of a pair of star-crossed lovers on opposite sides of an impending war, the tale follows the dual POV story of Princess Annika of Kadier and Lennox, a mercenary from the exiled clan of Dahrain. And her latest novel, A Thousand Heartbeats is no different. The author of the bestselling The Selection series and The Betrothed duology is known for her strong female characters, lush and fully realized settings, and, of course, swoony love stories full of twists and longing. No one in the world of young adult publishing writes romance quite like Kiera Cass. Bujold has not abandoned Penric and Desdemona, as I had once feared. This time I read my new hardback edition. Just re-read, and my rating as well as my love for the book remains unchanged. However, I hope the White God has more plans for his good servant Penric and that Bujold will keep us informed.ĮTA 18 July 2022. Indeed, Bujold brought the larger story arc that started with Penric’s Mission to such a lovely end that I was seized with the fear that this could be the last Penric book. There was nice cameos from the girls who were The Orphans of Raspay and I especially enjoyed Penric's encounter with the general from Mira's Last Dance. I was happy to meet up again with Lady Tanar and her loyal right-hand man Bosha, who were last seen in The Prisoner of Limnos. This book answered a number of 'what ever happened to' questions from several earlier books. This book was wonderful, as all the previous Penric & Desdemona stories have been. In them, you'll find beauty, tragedy, nature, religion, artfulness, deception, betrayal, love, death, judgment, penance, and-occasionally-a happy ending.
